July 2019 | Second quarter market reports are out!

Listings are up; home prices flat

The number of homes for sale continued to rise across Seattle during the second quarter, though new listings dropped during the month of June throughout King County. This is a normal scene for summer in Seattle.

In the second quarter, West Seattle and Richmond Beach/Shoreline experienced the greatest velocity in number of sales. Seattle’s overall median sale price rose 4.8% from Q1 to $760,000, but was down 5.2% from Q2 2018Average price per square foot was down 5.1% from Q2 last year to $436.

North Seattle, Queen Anne/Magnolia and West Seattle all performed better than the average in Q2. Seattle homeowners have seen a 61% increase in the median sale price over the past five years.

Welcome aboard, Bryan Haynes!

Bryan was my transaction coordinator at my previous company, and I've wanted to hire him to join me at Windermere ever since! It finally worked out and Bryan and I are working together full-time as of a few weeks ago. He's helping with everything from showing homes to paperwork, and you'll love him!

Here we are at the bar at Ryan Lewis' home in Magnolia, where we got to spend an afternoon imagining what it would be like to be a big Seattle celeb.

Thanks for reading!  :)

Best,
Chad
