Your Real Estate Stories (2021)

Your stories | 2021

2021 was another one for the history books. Let's hope together for a better year in 2022 with less COVID and more housing inventory. :)

Each year, Bryan and I reflect on the stories we watched unfold in the lives of our clients. Moves are huge. Individuals and families uprooting, trying new neighborhoods, cities, states, countries. We feel honored to be part of your stories and it is Bryan's and my goal to make your home purchase or sale a bright spot along the way.

Here are some of the moves our clients made in 2021:

  • We helped a life-long friend and his wife purchase their first home in Seattle after years away on the east coast.

  • We helped our college friends sell their adorable Gatewood home and buy a larger one literally one block away that fit their family's needs better.

  • We helped clients from the Bay Area purchase remotely, using FaceTime and YouTube uploads to tour and evaluate homes along the way. Ultimately, they found the right place, but not without multiple short-notice flights to check out promising homes in person!

  • We helped 1st-time buyers find a comfortable nest a month or two before the arrival of their first child--and it's right in my neighborhood! Their new baby boy is here and couldn't be cuter.

  • We helped clients sell their Queen Anne home for 27% over the asking price after their big move to sunny California. They bought their home as a bankruptcy short sale during the Recession in 2012 for less than 1/3 of this year's price.

  • We helped three clients sell their Seattle homes and move to Tacoma.

  • We helped some West Seattle folks sell their Morgan Junction townhome and then we represented their neighbors who sold off-market to one of the buyers who didn't win the first unit.

  • After almost a year of concerted effort, we helped a buyer find their perfect Hawthorne Hills home. We toured many more but I believe it was the fourth home we inspected and submitted an offer on, if not more!

  • We endeavored even longer with a buyer's quest to upgrade from her condo to a home in Burien. Selling the condo for 18% over the asking price helped broaden the budget/choices and serendipity took it from there!

  • We helped friends sell in Issaquah and purchase their dream home with shared waterfront on Mercer Island.

  • After years of searching and painful bidding wars, we helped old friends of Bryan's buy a great home near the new Roosevelt light rail station. They considered compromising on location toward the end, but we're so glad they stuck to what mattered most to them.

  • Other close friends of Bryan's decided to sell the first home they purchased after renting it out for a few years.

We can't thank you enough for letting us be part of your lives. Take care of yourself and the people you love! :)

Best,
Chad and Bryan
