Coming home

After two years in Colorado, we've decided it's time to return to the Pacific Northwest. We're thrilled to be back.

Leaving Colorado is bittersweet.

Bitter because we’re leaving some of the most important people in our lives—cousins and grandparents, new friends and old ones. And of course, the skiing. 😭

Sweet because Seattle is home. We’ve missed so many of the friends and family we left behind.

I’ve missed the greens and blues. The hills. Even the rain. I’ve missed the simple houses and small yards of the city. The NPR-listening PNW nerds. The surprise water and mountain views that pop up around odd corners.

Selling homes in a new market was humbling and challenging: different housing stock, unique construction quirks, and a brokerage culture all its own. But at its core, the work was the same: people + shelter, and all the emotions that come with choosing where your family will live.

I'm deeply grateful to my Denver business partner, Jen, who took me under her wing and welcomed me into what she’s spent two decades building. Jen taught me to slow down, talk to my neighbors, pick up the phone, and take a break from work to walk my dog.

Now What?

A lot has changed over the past two years! I’d love to reconnect and hear what’s new with you. No pressure—no urgency—but I hope to catch up in the months and years ahead.

I've rejoined Windermere Real Estate and will resume monthly email updates—written by me, with insights you only get from someone doing this strange work every day. I’ll try to keep them brief and helpful.

Thanks for reading! I look forward to catching up with you. :)

Warmly,

Chad
